Theme, Graphics and Sounds
The software provider has done a great job at selling the concept of a haunted house.
You know what you are in for from the moment you see the welcome screen. Pressing the play button leads you inside the large mansion.
Eerie blue light surrounds you. Despite the candles, the old home is shrouded in an unnatural darkness. Perfect for a ghost to lie in wait to ambush people who would infiltrate his home.
Sometimes, the best tricks are the tried and true ones. Wins are granted following a standard payline system. Find at least three identical symbols in adjacent positions to earn a cash prize.
The winning combination has to follow a payline and needs to start with the leftmost reel to count. The playing field has five reels and four rows, with 40 fixed paylines.
Of course, what we did not mention is that there is a fifth row on top of the standard payline! This extra row contains only special icons.
They remain inactive until a feature symbol is drawn. Feature icons can only be drawn on the main playing field.
They will also only activate the bonus position directly above them. In order to trigger the special features, you need at least two feature symbols.
The only way to activate free spins is by using the extra row. One activated free spins spot grants eight extra turns.
You get two more free spins for every additional spot that was activated. Any bonuses that were triggered alongside free spins will remain active during the special feature.
While free spins are active, feature icons can only appear in reels that have inactive feature spots. Landing feature symbols on an inactive reel grants two extra free spins.
Players can also draw 1x and 2x bet bonuses. As their name implies, these special features are just a small cash prize.
You can also draw multiple Wilds from the bonus row. Wilds that land under the expanding Wilds bonus spots will expand to cover the entire reel with Wilds.
Wilds+ adds more Wilds to the reel it is currently sitting on. Finally, Wilds 2x and 3x add a multiplier to any Wilds that land on their reels.
If a feature spot is activated with one of the aforementioned Wilds, it also grants a re-spin.
During the re-spin, Wild special features are active. You only get one re-spin, with no way to retrigger the bonus.
Where To Play Spectre Estate?
RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The RTP for Spectre Estate is 96.12%. This is above average when compared to other slots, though not by much.
Players can wager between $0.10 and $100 on each spin. This is a good betting spread, which should please all types of players.
Just for the Win and Microgaming have decided for a high variance for this game.
It works out well, though we do wish the maximum win was a bit higher. 2219x your total stake is good. However, we think we deserve a bit more for raiding a haunted mansion as volatile as this!
We have to give credit to the developers. They have made a great release all around.
We have already seen these special features. However, the game’s unique way of activating them makes them more fun than usual.
Probably because you can get several at once!
Gorgeous graphics and excellent sound design also help to immerse you into its world.
We give the slot 4 out of 5 stars. It may not be perfect, but it comes damn close to it.
