Reel Spooky King Megaways Review
Fans of the Reel King franchise will be looking forward to seeing their man return to action. Although the name suggests otherwise, things will not get spooky, but thanks to the addition of Megaways, it will be a lot more exciting on the reels.
Apart from the new RTP and the change of the game’s theme, Inspired Gaming keeps everything else the same. Don’t let that discourage you, as Reel Spooky King Megaways is still worth your time and money.

The online slot comes with a friendly Halloween theme, so get ready to encounter pumpkins, skulls, and ghosts throughout the game. And what do you do on Halloween? You go trick or treating. This time, you won’t get candies as a treat, but lots of various cash prizes.
Be sure to make the most out of cascades, free spins bonus and the Reel King feature, and if you’re lucky enough, you may end up claiming the slot’s top prize of 12,500 times your bet. Quite a generous payout for a medium variance title.
Theme, Graphics and Sounds
Once you enter the haunted house where the action takes place, you are indeed going to be immersed in the surrounding. Another element that helps create a captivating atmosphere is the game’s Halloween-style soundtrack.
It certainly matches the theme, but somehow it feels like it doesn’t belong in a Reel King slot. Nevertheless, you’re in for an entertaining experience with plenty of opportunities to land wins.
This game takes place on a standard Megaways grid. That means you’ll have six reels, with each holding up to seven symbols and up to 117,649 ways to win.
There’s also another reel, located above the main grid, where four icons can appear at the same time. Landing identical symbols across adjacent reels starting from the leftmost one delivers wins.
Cascade wins occur on both the base game and free spins. When a winning combination is formed, symbols are removed from the reels, with new ones dropping into empty positions.
The feature continues as long as new wins are created. Once there are no new wins, it comes to an end.
Reels can light up yellow from left to right, followed by a ding sound. Each subsequent cascade will light another reel while turning six of them yellow will unlock the Reel King feature.
Another cascade after will activate the Super King feature, while any new ones trigger the Spooky King feature.
If any of these three features is activated, you’ll see up to six mini-slots appear on the screen. Each of these slots comes with a single payline, landing only pumpkin symbols and blanks.
Whenever three reels are lit, prayers will progress along a Free Spins trail. A losing spin will make mini-slots disappear while reaching the free spins position activates the bonus round.
Reel Spooky King Megaways Free Spins
Before the bonus round starts, players can gamble their spins on a wheel divided into red and green segments.
Landing on the green segment can award more spins, up to 25, while landing on the red can decrease that number. It’s even possible to lose all your spins.
Free spins include an unlimited win multiplier, whose value goes up by one after every cascade.
Each cascade will light one by one reel starting from the leftmost one. Light all six reels to win up to three more spins and increase your multiplier by three.
Where To Play Reel Spooky King Megaways?
RTP, bet sizes and volatility
The theoretical RTP for this game is 95.56%, which is slightly below the industry average.
On every round, you can place bets ranging from $0.20 to $20. The top payout is worth 12,500x your total bet.
It’s an excellent top prize for a release boasting medium volatility, although the maximum stake of just $20 means you won’t be able to win more than $250,000.
Compared to Reel King Megaways, the game is pretty much the same, with only a couple of changes. We enjoyed the new theme, although the sounds bothered us occasionally, and we couldn’t turn them off.
We didn’t like the reduced RTP, although this won’t put off many players. The offering of features was solid, and we certainly appreciated the maximum payout of 12,500 times the stake.
All in all, it’s 3 out of 5 stars for Reel Spooky King Megaways from Inspired Gaming.
