Theme, Graphics, and Sounds
Deadwood has a Wild West theme, with a faded ghost town in the background, a saloon sign on the left side of the reel set, and an occasional tumbleweed blowing past.
A gentle Old West soundtrack plays in the background, adding to the carefully elaborated theme.
The casino game has high definition graphics, with a unique art style and interesting characters.
The symbols of the slot include gold bullion bars, gold pocket watches, money safes, shotguns, and whiskey bottles.

In-game Features
If you played Tombstone, the features of this game will be familiar to you.
The Hunter is the wild symbol, and it lands in stacks on the middle three reels.
When it partly appears in view, it is nudged into place with the help of the xNudge feature, and it covers the full reel.
The multiplier value is increased by 1x with each nudge. Any winning combination made with the wilds is subject to the multiplier.
In case there is more than one wild, the multipliers are combined.
The Shoot Out feature is activated during the base game, when the sheriff badge lands on reels one and five.
After the feature is triggered, any low paying symbol on the three middle reels is transformed into a wild symbol.
Deadwood Free Spins
Deadwood has two free spins rounds, which are activated when three or more Buffalo Scatters land anywhere on the reels. This will give you the option to play 8 Gunslinger Spins or 8 Hunter Spins.
Gunslinger Spins have high potential, but high risk as well. If you land on any Hunter wild symbols, you will activate the unlimited win multiplier.
The multiplier is increased by x1 with each nudge of the Hunter Wild, and it never resets. If you land on any sheriff badge symbols on reel one or five, you will get 1 additional free spin each time.
Hunter Spins are the less volatile option. During each spin, at least 1 Hunter Wild is guaranteed to land. This will trigger the Hunter xNudge wild feature.
When it comes to the functionality of the sheriff badge, the same rules apply as in the Gunslinger Spins.
The Shoot Out Free Spins feature is activated in these three situations:
- During the Hunter Spins feature, when sheriff badges land on reels one and five;
- During the Gunslinger Spins feature, when sheriff badges land on reels one and five; and
- During a base game spin, when 3 scatters plus sheriff badges land on reels one and five.
The Shoot Out Free Spins feature gives you 10 free spins.
During this feature, the sheriff badges will be locked in position and trigger the Shoot Out feature on every free spin, meaning all low value symbols that appear on the three middle reels will transform into wilds.

Verdict
Deadwood delivers challenging gameplay and a nice design.
We give this game 4 stars out of 5, attributable to its explosive win potential.
However, this is a hardcore slot and it may be too volatile for players who would rather play on the safer side.
