Super Group Casino Brands Ready to Launch in Ontario
Published: June 29, 2022
Super Group has been given the green light to enter the online gambling market in Ontario. Following the approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), it plans to launch four of its casino brands in the province, including the flagship Spin casino brand.
In addition to Spin, the following brands have been approved to offer their services to customers in Ontario: Jackpot City, Ruby Fortune, and Royal Vegas. All four are owned by Cadtree Limited, a Super Group subsidiary.
According to available information, the licences issued by the AGCO will last two years, expiring in June 2024. In April, the Super Group-owned sports betting brand Betway obtained a licence.
These four casino brands are the latest ones to enter the Ontario market after PokerStars, SkillOnNet, and Casino received the AGCO approval.
Ontario launched its newly regulated online gambling market on April 4, three years after the provincial government announced the end of the lottery’s monopoly.
In June, Super Group posted its financials for the year’s first quarter, reporting $443.3 million in revenue. At the same time, Spin saw its revenue drop by 4.5% to $189.8 million.
The group’s Chief Executive Officer, Neil Menashe, pointed out that the company would have some problems meeting its 2022 revenue guidance.
