Mansion Group Exits the UK Sports Betting Market
Published: March 14, 2022
Mansion Group has announced its decision to stop its sportsbook operation in the UK. The company behind such renowned brands as Mansion Casino and Mansion Bet wants to focus its attention solely on the online casino segment.
Bettors can wager on sports and make deposits until March 31. Customers will get their money back for all bets for sporting events scheduled to take place after that date.
Mansion plans to have all of the accounts balanced down to zero by April 28. This process should be completed through refunds and withdrawals.
Mansion is looking forward to expanding its global online gambling footprint in the coming future. The company is already working on getting the necessary regulatory approval for a license in Ontario.
If the plans go through, Mansion should be ready for the province’s online gambling launch, taking place on April 4. It will also further increase its presence in markets such as Spain.
More than 500 licensed sports betting operators are doing business in the UK. However, due to the new regulatory changes coming into effect in the next couple of months, many of them will opt to move their operations elsewhere.
The official statement from Mansion Group says:
Mansion Group have decided to focus on our award-winning casino brands Casino.com, MansionCasino.com, and SlotsHeaven.com, and continue to operate in the UK online casino market.
With more than fifteen years of experience in real money casinos, Mansion is one of the leading names in the industry. In addition to MansionBet, the company boasts popular Casino.com, Mansion Casino and Slots Heaven brands.
The group’s headquarters are in Gibraltar, with offices in Bulgaria and Spain.
