LeoVegas Getting Ready for Ontario Expansion
Published: March 20, 2022
LeoVegas has received regulatory approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. As a registered online gambling operator, it will be able to offer its services to players in the province once the regulated market gets launched on April 4.
There’s only one step to complete the licensing process. LeoVegas will have to sign an operating deal with iGaming Ontario.
According to available information, LeoVegas plans to enter the market with two online casinos, LeoVegas and Royal Panda. The operator will offer real money casino, live dealer games and sports betting.
Over the last couple of years, the Canadian most populous province has undergone a process of re-regulation. At the same time, LeoVgeas Group has been cementing its footprint in Canada.
January 2022 figures reveal that Canada accounts for 13 percent of the group’s revenue. Ontario played an essential part in this, as it brought around 35 percent of the entire revenue generated in Canada.
Gustaf Hagman, Chief Executive Officer at LeoVegas, commented:
Over recent years, the LeoVegas brand has become the third most well-known casino brand in the Canadian market, and Royal Panda has shown substantial growth – a clear sign that the mobile gaming experience we offer is appreciated by North American customers. Our full focus now is to complete the process, and we look forward to launching in a regulated environment. Given our track record and knowledge to operate in regulated markets, we continue to have high expectations and ambitions for continued growth in the Ontario market.
