GGPoker Continues to Work with Dan Bilzerian
Published: April 9, 2022
Last month, it seemed that GGPoker was done with Dan Bilzerian. The poker website removed all of his images, while some sources indicated he was let go on March 8. Considering his history of mistreating women, firing him on International Women’s Day appeared almost symbolic.
However, Bilzerian has remained the brand ambassador for GGPoker, which was recently confirmed on Twitter.
According to available information, GGPoker will continue to work with Bilzerian and plans to announce new activities in the coming period.
But if GGPoker plans to still do business with the playboy, why did they remove his images from the poker site? The fact that the photos are not back on the site is also confusing.
GGPoker and Bilzerian partnered in late 2020, and the brand quickly learned how controversial the poker player, businessman, and social media influencer is.
The first incident happened shortly after Bilzerian joined GGPoker, with him making derogatory remarks to Vanessa Kade.
But instead of apologizing to the Canadian poker player and streamer, GGPoker closed her affiliate account.
It’s a mystery why GGPoker wants to continue its partnership with Bilzerian, who didn’t even bother to promote his employer on his social media.
He failed to take part in a heads-up match organized by the brand. Bilzerian was scheduled to take on science writer Alex O’Brien, but he simply backed out. In the end, O’Brien played against Kade, with all the winnings donated to charity.
GGPoker claims it’s focused on female player outreach, organizing events to attract more women players. The partnership with Bilzerian could negatively affect the poker site, negating all improvements made regarding this issue.
GGPoker was founded in 2014 and has since become one of the most popular poker rooms in the world. Initially, the site targeted players in Asia, while today, it’s equally loved by customers in Europe and Canada. If you enjoy online poker, GGPoker is the place to be.
